Your lease vehicle is expected to be returned in good condition. However, Lincoln Automotive Financial Services allows for normal wear and use. The following chart provides detailed information about Excess Wear and Use. You can also refer to the wear and use guidelines mailed to you prior to lease-end or download our Wear and Use Evaluator Card & Guidelines.
If you purchased WearCare® your Excess Wear and Use charges will be waived up to $5,000 in most cases. See your WearCare® Addendum for details and exclusions on coverage.
To help avoid any Excess Wear and Use charges, we recommend necessary repairs be made prior to your vehicle return. Riverhead Lincoln is there for you, should you have any needs or questions about necessary repairs.
Some vehicle damage otherwise considered Excess Wear and Use may be covered by your vehicle insurance. Be sure to allow sufficient time for claim processing and repairs before you return your vehicle.
THE MILES MATTER TOO
It is important to understand that if you return your vehicle and, the mileage exceeds the amount allowed under your lease, that you will be responsible for the excess miles driven. Please refer to your Red Carpet Lease Agreement for details about mileage allowance and excess mileage charges.
DISPOSITION FEE
A Disposition Fee applies to returned vehicles, if disclosed on the Lease Agreement. Qualifying lease customers who purchase or lease a new Lincoln vehicle may be eligible for a waiver. See your dealer for details.

How is a Vehicle Inspection Scheduled? Approximately 35-45 days before your lease is scheduled to end, you should be contacted by a Vehicle Inspection Company to arrange both a date and location for your vehicle's inspection. When called, set up your appointment at your earliest opportunity to ensure time, if you choose, to address identified Excess Wear & Use.
